Who We Are?
Frazer-Nash is an engineering, systems and technology consultancy. Our environmental and sustainability experts help organisations make lives secure, safe, sustainable and affordable.
In a nutshell, consultancy is all about providing advice to positively impact projects, businesses and the wider world around us. Here at Frazer-Nash, we support our Clients in Energy, Defence, Space, Government and Infrastructure, Transport, Process and Manufacturing sectors. We offer capabilities in a range of areas, from deep technical engineering disciplines through to management consultancy, providing advice in every step of the product, asset, and organisational lifecycle.
Why Frazer-Nash?
As a graduate, you will typically be working on multiple projects simultaneously, managing your time and rapidly accruing a wealth of experience and skills. Hence, no two days in Frazer-Nash will be the same.
We have a comprehensive Early Careers package that will ensure you successfully integrate into our business and meet new colleagues from across the organisation – last year we had over 100 Graduates, interns and summer placements. We are looking for a similar sized cohort this year so you will be joining a large and vibrant peer group.
You’ll be surrounded by experts not just in our team, but also in a range of other fields – whether it’s technology, techno-economics or human sciences, we collaborate across the business to support our clients to solve a diverse range of complex and challenging problems.
The Team and Role
You will be joining as a Graduate into our Sustainability and Environmental Assurance Group, a growing team of environmental and sustainability experts, that deliver projects across the UK and internationally. The team are distributed across the Frazer-Nash offices, though this role is initially offered based out of Bristol or Plymouth.
As a member of the Sustainability and Environmental Assurance Group you will work on a variety of projects across Defence, Energy, Government and Industry. These could range from the development and implementation of Environmental Management Systems (EMS) for £Multi-Billion acquisition projects to supporting clients to develop decarbonisation strategies, roadmaps and transition plans. You will support our clients to characterise, and understand, the organisational risks presented by a changing environment and the opportunities available through the global transition to Net Zero.
To support your development as a rounded individual in your early career, we would encourage you to work on a range of projects and build a diverse skillset in a variety of sectors. As your experience grows, we will trust in your capability to take a lead on the technical and commercial aspects of projects. As they arise, we will also offer opportunities for you to work in embedded roles on nationally significant projects to enable you to gain hands-on experience of how these projects operate and progress.
You will receive a mixture of on the job, internal and external training, as well as mentoring and coaching, to support your development into becoming a well-rounded consultant. You will also be supported to achieve professional accreditations with a relevant organisation such as ISEP (formerly IEMA) or IES.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for individuals who would like to pursue a career in environmental or sustainability disciplines that reflect the breadth of capabilities we have in the team. These span environmental management, permitting and assurance, and sustainability, carbon and climate advisory. Please make it clear in your application which capabilities most interest you and where possible link this with your degree(s) / any relevant work experience.
We require you to have obtained a 2:1 Degree or Higher within a related environmental or sustainability focused degree, or relevant engineering degree. We regularly deliver work for Defence and Nuclear, so an appetite for work in these sectors is important.
