Join ‘Team Tax’: straight-talking, collaborative and built for people who want to make an impact from day one. This is a place to learn fast, contribute early and keep moving forward.
Technology is transforming the way professional services firms operate. AI, automation, data and digital tools are changing how work is delivered, creating opportunities to improve quality, efficiency and user experience. Using AI, automation, software and data to transform how our tax professionals work, you'll join our Internal Tax Technology team, working with tax specialists, technology professionals and business stakeholders to design, build and deploy digital solutions.
Unlike traditional graduate programmes, you'll gain experience across both the technical and business sides of technology delivery before choosing a specialist pathway.
In your role, you will:
-
Work with tax professionals to understand business challenges and identify opportunities for AI, automation and technology-enabled solutions.
-
Support the design, development, testing and deployment of digital products and solutions used across the tax practice.
-
Use AI, automation, data and digital technologies to solve real business problems.
-
Help evaluate emerging technologies and identify practical use cases that improve efficiency, quality and user experience.
-
Develop skills and experience in AI, automation, data analytics, product delivery and digital solution delivery.
-
Join a community of digital and technology professionals across audit, tax, consulting and national technology.
What we're looking for
We're looking for graduates who are naturally curious, analytical and passionate about using technology to solve problems. You'll have a strong interest in AI, automation, software development, data or digital innovation and be excited by the opportunity to apply those skills within a large professional services environment.
To be considered, you’ll need:
-
A minimum of 112 UCAS points across 3 A levels (or equivalent level 3 qualification), 104 UCAS points across four Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers, or an Irish Leaving Certificate (higher level).
-
An existing, permanent right to live and work in the UK.
-
A willingness to travel to other offices as required.
-
RSM doesn’t accept General Studies, AS levels or the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).
-
Please note this role is for a January 2027 start date, you must be available to commence employment by this date and not still be studying or in education.
What we can offer you
-
Tax Technology roles have a unique qualification pathway that combines professional tax technology qualifications, including ATT Foundations and the Diploma in Tax Technology (DITT), with opportunities to develop expertise in AI, automation, data analytics and digital innovation across our Internal Tax Technology team.
-
An obtained honours degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, or a related technology discipline.
-
We welcome applicants who have developed technical skills through their degree, placements, personal projects or extracurricular activities. Experience with Python, AI, automation or software development is preferred.
-
You'll follow a unique three-year development programme within Internal Tax Technology. During your first two years, you'll rotate across both our AI & Automation Engineering and Tax Technology teams, gaining experience of both the technical and business sides of technology delivery. In your final year, you'll specialise in the area that best aligns with your strengths, interests and business needs.
-
You'll get structured training, professional qualifications and hands-on experience delivering technology solutions in a team where every voice is heard.
-
Grow with the technology and your team. You’ll be supported with ongoing coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities that evolve with the fast-changing digital landscape.
-
Access lifestyle, health and wellbeing benefits, including financial wellbeing support, that you can tailor to your needs.
Please note we can only consider one application per person per recruitment cycle.
