Our expert Technology team empower our people and support our progress all around the world. They develop the applications and infrastructure that underpin everything from trading and operations to compliance and customer service. And they’re always searching for new and better ideas.

As part of our Graduate programme, you will be instrumental in connecting technology with business needs. You will gain a deep understanding of our middleware applications which includes our Managed File Transfer solution; IBM MQ Integration; BMC Control-M Integration and Swift Alliance, as well as gaining an understanding of our ITIL and data security policies. You will learn how to utilise these technologies to support business critical processes between Fidelity and our clients through the design, modification, and implementation of efficient and strategic workflows. Additionally, you will use your problem-solving skills to work with both Fidelity and our clients technical and business teams, to identify and rectify errors efficiently through to resolution.

To achieve this, you will use your analytical skills to clearly communicate and develop relationships with our technical and business teams to identify opportunities for enhancement and automation to establish and strengthen processes efficiently between technology and business teams in line with a continuously changing landscape.

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of our Middleware applications.

  • Utilise problem-solving skills to manage data and derive insights to suggest and implement system enhancements.

  • Establish solid relationships with business, sales, and investment teams to understand challenges faced by our clients and teams.

  • Learn how to translate complex technical issues into clear requirements for non-technical business teams.

  • Contribute to BAU 'Business as Usual' rotations to support new workflow integrations.

  • Write and maintain documentation to provide transparency and maintain the knowledge base.

  • Learn how to manage and document technical meetings successfully capturing issues, enhancements, and action points.

How you’ll be supported:

You’ll start with a welcome and an orientation, where you’ll meet your fellow Graduates and find out all about us and our work. After that, there are many more ways to develop your skills as your placement progresses including completing of Unit 1 of the Investment Operations Certificate (IOC).

Once the programme begins, you’ll learn every day – from the experts around you and through tackling real projects. Our focus will be on supporting you to gain experience and discover what kind of future you could build in our industry.

Support is part of our culture, so you’ll have a buddy and a mentor to help you whenever you need. And you’ll join a close-knit early careers community, with plenty of social and networking events to help you find your feet and feel at home.

A genuine curiosity and eagerness to learn about technology is vital, as is an enthusiastic interest in our work and our industry. Creative thinking and the ability to build and develop relationships with colleagues is important to.

  • Be graduating in 2026 (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree)

We’ve worked hard to ensure our new process is fast and efficient. That means our application deadline is not about just ‘getting your foot’ in the door by the deadline, you need to apply, pass our assessments by then too.

All assessment centres will take place January/February 2026.
