Textile Production Coordinator
Purpose
To support the production team with a variety of administrative tasks; communication with suppliers & textile finishers. Providing essential data maintenance on production tickets; ensuring stocks are in the right place for all orders to be produced.
Responsibilities
-
Daily communication with yarn suppliers regarding outstanding orders and order status
-
Updating & distributing daily updates internally, such as the unconfirmed order report
-
Daily yarn system stock checks
-
Using systems to provide supplier performance metrics
-
Administration of the yarn shade supplier submit process
-
Timely and accurate filing (either electronically or physically) for the relevant standards and accreditations
-
Collating information regarding waste and the environment for auditing
-
Using Excel to produce tables, statistics, graphs and reports
Essential skills, knowledge and experience
-
Highly organised with a strong attention to detail
-
Strong written & verbal communication
-
Excel proficient (intermediate or advanced proficiency)
-
Previous experience with booking systems or ERP systems, other business management systems
-
A flexible approach to cover tasks as the business requires
-
A problem-solving approach to tasks or issues
-
The ability to work independently, plan ahead, identify potential issues early
Desirable
-
Previous experience liaising with/interacting with external suppliers
-
Experience and or understanding of the textile manufacturing process
