The Role

Stafford Capital Partners is seeking two Graduate Analysts to join our Timberland team in London on a 9-month fixed term basis, with the potential to be extended beyond the initial period. This position plays a key role in supporting the team’s fundraising, portfolio management and client servicing activities, with primary responsibilities including maintaining and using a range of databases to support the analysis of portfolio performance along with broader market

Primary Responsibilities

The role will be diverse, offering exposure to a broad spectrum of activities and key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Timberland team’s full client relations process from fund raising through to on-going client servicing.

  • Evaluating and reporting on client’s timberland portfolios including KPI’s related to forest asset valuations, cashflows, wood product markets and sustainability metrics.

  • Researching global timberland and wood product markets.

  • Producing client ready written communications (including email responses, papers, and presentations) explaining forestry, wood product markets and the timberland asset class to investors.

  • Providing detailed and accurate responses to prospective client questions and Request for Proposals (RFP’s).

  • Contributing to the wider work of the timberland team including activities related to portfolio management and transactions.

Our Requirements

The ideal candidate would have the following:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a Finance/Economics or related discipline, Data Analytics, or a Natural Resources or an Environment related discipline;

  • Some experience working in asset management, consulting or another relevant industry;

  • A genuine interest in environmental economics, sustainability, forestry etc.

  • Good Excel modelling and PowerPoint presentation skills; and

  • Great, demonstrated communication skills across written and verbal contexts
