We run two schemes for graduates and have 10 candidates on each scheme – one in spring and two in summer.
The second summer scheme is an insight for first year law students and first or second year non-law students only.
Each scheme is a two-week paid work experience.
Our vacation scheme offers a comprehensive insight into life at Farrer & Co, combining hands-on experience with structured learning and networking opportunities.
Who can apply?
For our Spring and Summer scheme we welcome applications from:

University students eligible to apply for our training contract process within this recruitment round (in their penultimate or final year of studying law or final year of studying non-law degree).

Graduates from any academic discipline.
For our Insight Vacation Scheme, we welcome applications from:

First year university law students.

First or second year non-law university students.
Our academic requirements are strong A-Level grades (or equivalent qualifications) and a high 2:1 degree, or predicted for those still studying. However, we are open to considering mitigating circumstances for candidates whose academics fall below this.
The scheme
The programme is full time in the office, and you are given your own laptop and IT training to conduct work during your 2 week scheme.
Each scheme includes:
Time in our legal teams: you will work closely with a supervising lawyer, gaining practical experience and insight into our work.
Lunchtime seminars: learn from our experts across a variety of topics.
Group case study: collaborate with fellow participants to tackle a real-world legal challenge.
Social events: build connections with our people and get a feel for our firm’s culture.
