Pool House Equine Hospital is delighted to accept applications for our BEVA approved, two-year internship program, designed for ambitious new or recent graduates who want to build a strong foundation in equine clinical practice. The internship combines 18 months of hospital-based rotations with 6 months of ambulatory experience, giving interns a truly comprehensive exposure to both first opinion and specialist-level equine veterinary care.
About The Hospital
Located in the heart of Staffordshire, Pool House Equine Hospital is a state-of-the-art RCVS-accredited Tier 3 Equine Hospital providing 24/7 care to horses across the Midlands and beyond. Our facilities include:

Interns are an integral part of our clinical team, working alongside experienced clinicians, nurses, and support staff in a supportive, collaborative environment. Our internship offers daily exposure to a highly skilled team that includes specialists in Equine Surgery, Internal Medicine, Dentistry, Sport Medicine and Imaging, advanced practitioners and experienced ambulatory clinicians.
Interns participate in all aspects of case management — from emergency admissions and surgical procedures to advanced diagnostics and routine ambulatory visits — ensuring a well-rounded clinical experience.
Pool House Equine Hospital is proud to be a teaching associate practice of the University of Nottingham School of Veterinary Medicine and Science. Interns benefit from exposure to evidence-based clinical practice and a strong learning culture, mentorship, and professional development.
