Your recruitment process

At UST, our recruitment process is designed to be clear, fair, and inclusive. Here’s what applicants can typically expect:

Application: You submit your CV (and cover letter, if available) through our online careers portal. We encourage you to highlight your strengths and relevant experience.

Initial Screening: Our Talent Acquisition team reviews each application against the role requirements. We strive to acknowledge applications promptly. If your skills and experience align with the role, we’ll reach out to schedule the next steps.

Interviews: Shortlisted candidates are invited to one or more interviews. This often begins with an initial conversation (by video or in-person) to discuss your background and career interests. Then, you may have detailed interviews with hiring managers or technical experts, focusing on your skills, problem-solving approach, and fit with our team. We ensure our interview process is structured and consistent, giving every candidate an equal opportunity to shine. For some roles, there may also be a practical exercise or case study to help us understand your capabilities better.

Communication & Feedback: Throughout the process, we value open communication. We’ll keep you informed of your application status, and we encourage you to ask questions at any stage. Timely feedback is important to us, and we aim to provide updates after each interview round whenever possible.

Offer: If you are selected as the top candidate, we will extend a formal offer. Our offer letter will outline your role, compensation, benefits, expected start date, and other relevant details. You’ll have the opportunity to review and discuss the offer to ensure you have all the information you need.

Onboarding: Once you accept the offer, we’ll kick off the onboarding process to welcome you to UST, inclusive of background checks (DBS). We guide you through any necessary paperwork, introduce you to our company culture and values, and connect you with your new team so you feel supported from day one. Our onboarding is thorough and tailored, whether you’re joining in the UK or elsewhere, ensuring you have a smooth start.
