Students and graduates can apply to join WSP’s graduate or placement programmes in the following sectors: transportation and infrastructure, property and buildings, earth and environment, power, energy, water resources, planning and industry sectors, as well as strategic advisory.
Our Early Careers Programme, which spans two years for graduates, includes core business and professional skills training, career development workshops and resources, valuable networking opportunities, mentoring for professional registration and a breadth of on-the-job experience. Our goal is to ensure that all early career professionals are set up for success and receive the support and guidance to enable them to progress in their careers.
Placement opportunities are also available with 6-8-week paid internships from June - August, and 12-month Year in Industry placements commencing from September. Students will work on a range of projects and obtain real industry experience during their placement. Upon successful completion, students may go on to be sponsored via the scholarship programme and could be considered for graduate opportunities.

Our Recruitment Process
- Online structured application form: We do not require you to submit a CV to apply, instead you will be required to complete an online application form telling us about your studies, your experiences and your preferences of which area of the business you would like to work in.
- Online Skill Enabler Assessment: If you meet our eligibility requirements and we have a role that matches your chosen preferences, you will be sent an online skill enabler assessment to complete.
- Interview Days or Face-to-Face Interviews: If successful at the assessment stage, you may be invited to a face-to-face interview or interview day or a virtual interview day and in-person interview.
- Offer of Employment: Upon successful completion of all stages, candidates can expect to receive an offer of employment from WSP.
