We are looking for an ambitious graduate to join our Commercial Consultancy & Strategy team based in Cambridge. This is a varied and interesting graduate role requiring project and business management skills with hands-on delivery to provide property services to a wide range of clients.Our national Consultancy & Strategy team play a pivotal role in shaping the future of property portfolios for clients whose core business lies outside real estate. As a strategic property consultant, you'll engage directly with senior leadership teams, addressing complex property challenges and driving transformative change.

Our two-year Commercial graduate structured training offers a wide range of experience allowing you to work across almost all areas of our business. The training focuses on the completion of the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) through the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). This role is also open to those who may have studied a non-RICS accredited degree who are open to considering a Masters apprenticeship combined with employment as a graduate before joining the APC

Main tasks:

Our team delivers high-level strategic advice to support informed property decision-making. Working closely with stakeholders, you’ll assess current and future property needs, uncover opportunities for consolidation or expansion, and contribute to transformation initiatives such as hybrid working, regeneration, and investment planning. The market insight and financial expertise you develop will help guide decisions across a wide range of property types and sectors.

As a graduate surveyor you will have the opportunity to assist with a variety of tasks, including:

  • Working alongside colleagues on a variety of client instructions and delivering high-quality, professional advice.

  • Collaborating with client teams to develop Options Appraisals and Business Cases using financial and non-financial methodologies.

  • Contributing to Estate Strategies and Asset Management Plans that optimise property portfolios and unlock hidden value.

  • Supporting on Portfolio Reviews, identifying opportunities for rationalisation, redevelopment, or disposal—ensuring alignment with business objectives.

  • Working in a team to advise on workplace strategy, including hybrid working models and space utilisation.

  • Facilitating stakeholder engagement and consultation processes to secure alignment and buy-in.

  • Delivering valuation and asset advisory services across a range of use classes and purposes, including financial reporting, acquisitions, disposals, and rent reviews.

  • Engaging with internal teams and external stakeholders, including clients, valuers, and auditors.

Clients are at the heart of what we do, so ensuring you develop and maintain strong relationships with our clients is essential, this includes attending client meetings and preparing communications and reports.

What will it take to be successful?

We are looking for forward thinking and entrepreneurial graduates with a can-do attitude, you will have the ability to manage multiple project and deal with a variety of work. You will ideally be studying a RICS accredited degree, however, we welcome applications from those studying a non-accredited degree who are looking to pursue a career in Commercial Surveying. You will also have experience within a commercial practice gained through work experience or placements. It is essential that you have a full UK driving license.
