As an Aircraft Technician (Avionics) you will keep our aircraft airborne by carrying out maintenance and repair work on the sophisticated electronic and on-board avionics

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the high performance of aircraft radar, communication, reconnaissance, and target acquisition equipment.
  • Provide engineering support to aircraft systems that are operated whilst in flight or provide aircraft engineering support when the aircraft is deployed.
  • Maintain the systems that generate and distribute electricity on aircraft.

Salary:

  • Initial Annual Pay £25,200+ Benefits
  • After Technical Training £27,200 +Benefits

Qualifications you need;

  • A minimum of GCSE Grade C (Grade 4 with effect from Aug 17) or equivalent in English language, Mathematics and an approved Science/Technology-based subject.

Joining age;

  • 16-47

Other entry requirements;

  • You must be a citizen of the UK or holder of duel UK/ other nationality.
  • Whether or not you were born in the United Kingdom, you should have resided there for the 5 years immediately preceding your application. However, candidates with a minimum of 3 years will be considered.

Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering Technician – Engineering Technicians take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of the work they undertake within the limits of their personal authority. They also need to be able to demonstrate a core set of behaviours in order to be competent in their job role, complement wider business strategy and development. This will enable them to support their long term career development.
