The Business Development and Strategy area within Siemens Mobility has an enviable position with in the company, having oversight and providing guidance to and working with the local Business Units to drive forward the business. Also encompassed within its responsibilities is the oversight of the Project Management Community ensuring that our Project managers are sufficiently trained and that our key projects are reviewed by the Board.

Define the Future of Transportation

Embark on your journey with us whilst taking part in our fantastic intern development programme. We will create a personalised training plan to help you develop the specific skills and knowledge required for your role. By the end of your programme, you will be equipped with the best knowledge and hands-on experience to kickstart your professional career here at Siemens Mobility.

  • Working with the HQ and local teams to estimate the size and scope of the market for the business in the future

  • Analysis of reports published by Government, customers and other stakeholders to better understand the direction of the sector and to influence our strategy

  • Production of reports/ slide decks for the business including the CEO/CFO

  • Organising visits to our sites to showcase the best of Siemens to key stakeholders

  • Helping to produce documents to influence the Government and Civil Servants on how to move the rail sector forward

  • Managing the status of project management qualifications across the business in alignment with our training department

Essential Skills and Attributes;

We are seeking innovative and inquisitive candidates that demonstrate the following;

  • Achieved or be on track to achieve a 2:2 or above Economics, Business or other relevant topics.

  • Logical thinking, willing to self-learn and research, and take a creative approach to problem solving

  • Ability to work independently, safely and responsibly; take ownership of challenges and ideas and are looking to develop your ability to drive and lead change

  • Enjoy collaborating with others to find innovative solutions
