Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting Placement Students for our Integrated Data Analytics and Reporting (IDAR) Training Academy! We are recruiting for the following departments: Clinical and Statistical Programming (C&SP). The position is for university students who will be looking to complete a 12-month industry placement.

We are seeking highly motivated candidates to join our Training Academy. The Academy is a premier training program focused on developing and inspiring talent considering a career in pharmaceutical research and development.

We are seeking an innovative Clinical & Statistical Programming (C&SP) Technology Placement Student to join our team and gain hands-on experience developing AI-driven solutions that modernize programming workflows, automate processes, and enhance data transformation across C&SP. In this role, you will collaborate with experienced professionals to build tools for data integration, automation, and business insights—advancing digital capabilities and improving operational efficiency. You will have opportunities to leverage AI-based programming to design and develop solutions that support Clinical & Statistical Programming, create intelligent technology tools, and contribute to projects that address key business needs.

Upon successful completion of your training your main responsibilities may include (but not be limited to):

  • Works with Clinical & Statistical Programming counterparts and other internal partners

  • Conduct research to identify innovative solutions that can be applied to our business processes.

  • Collaborate with team members to design and develop solutions using SAS, R, Python, RPA, Power Automate and other tools.

  • Create and maintain documentation for solutions.

  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to effectively apply knowledge and skills in a complex environment.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a progressive environment.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Good problem solving and decision making.

  • High analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Great attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Familiarity with programming languages such as SAS, R, Python, and others. Exposure to Data Bricks, LSAF, SAS Enterprise, and other Data Science platforms is a plus.

Education Requirements:

  • Successful completion of the first two years of a degree course.

  • A minimum of a 2:1 achieved in the first year.

  • Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering and related degrees preferred.
