Internship

Help companies with economic challenges, whilst gaining skills to support your career development.

Programme overview

We use the principles of economics to help clients make better decisions around policy, regulation and commercial activities. Our work is based on rigorous quantitative analysis combined with a deep understanding of different industries.

What you will be doing

  • Working with local and international clients.

  • Working in diverse teams on real client projects.

  • Developing your analytical and relationship-building skills.

If you’re in your penultimate year, or if you’re already in your final year but will be doing a one-year Master’s degree, or taking a gap year, this internship is for you.

We operate an open access policy, meaning we don’t screen out applications on your academic performance alone. You will however, need to be working towards an Economics or Econometrics honours degree, have a minimum of grade 4/C GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths, or in your home language if you do not hold English Language GCSE, and three A-levels/Five Highers (or equivalent) to be eligible to apply.

Having a great academic background in a competition and regulatory economics, evaluation of public and regulatory policy, economic impact assessment or economic forecasting topic is a bonus.

We welcome applications from all academic backgrounds and are looking for individuals who will succeed at EY in the desired role and future qualifications, therefore throughout our recruitment process your academic performance will be considered against your online assessment scores to determine your suitability for an EY role.
