Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

  • Meet with lead engineer or project engineers on project to understand performance requirements and to determine project design of experiments and pre-clinical studies

  • Schedule required testing in reliability development lab

  • Assure tests are run properly

  • Report results to requestor

  • Run tests whenever necessary to support program timing

  • Document performance of test procedures and interprets results obtained from various studies

  • Coordinate maintenance and calibration of relevant test equipment in lab

  • Coordinate fixture development and fabrication when required

  • Maintain working knowledge of reliability development lab test equipment

  • Train other associates in reliability development lab test equipment knowledge

  • Develop new test procedures and methods to assure program reliability objectives are being met

  • Provide summary updates to project engineers and reliability development lab personnel

  • Document new product test needs

  • Report to lab manager or project team

  • Coordinate design and testing by outside laboratories

  • Evaluate and replicate test data provided by third parties, ensuring quality of data and appropriateness of test methods

  • Develop and administer company rules and regulations in compliance within GLP and GMP

  • Support project teams with testing assistance and to assure timely completion of projects

  • Act as consultant on test related issues for project team

  • Assist in development of test schedules

Under limited supervision and general direction, and in accordance with all laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines:

POLICIES: Know and follow EES policies and procedures related to work activities performed in area of responsibility

TRAINING: Complete training in area of responsibility within allowed time-period. Training is required for changes in existing policies and procedures, for new assignments and for implementation of new policies and procedures. Complete required periodic re-training in areas such as safety and environmental

SAFETY: Follow all company safety policies and other safety precautions within work area. Promote safety to all associates that enter work area

Requirements Of The Role

Graduated within the last 2 years with a minimum of a bachelor's degree (2.1 or above) in one of the following Engineering or scientific fields (or related):

  • Mechanical Engineering

  • Medical Engineering

  • Bio Engineering

  • Product Engineering

  • Material Science

  • Manufacturing Engineering
