Your tasks

As part of our Cyber Security Team, you will fight cybercrime and protect the corporate values and reputation of national and international clients from cyber attacks and support their security with optimal long-term solutions and strategies.

This internship will be at an adaptable start time for six months and can be filled at our location in Düsseldorf or Frankfurt:

Your main tasks include:

  • Supporting the Forensic and Litigation practice in advising companies that have been victims of cyberattacks.
  • Deliver rapid analysis of technical data to identify violations and understand root causes and impacts.
  • Collaboration in digital forensic investigations.
  • Generating threat intelligence and conducting digital vulnerability assessments.
  • Collaborate on sophisticated, concise reports for law firms, financial institutions and multinational corporations.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of industry-critical trends, threats, methods, and technologies.
  • Where appropriate, support remedial actions for customers following a breach.
  • Contribute expertise and skills to provide thought leadership on relevant topics.
  • Identification of potential for improvement and submission of proposals to expand our service portfolio.
  • You will gain insights into special investigations to clarify the facts as well as the prevention of white-collar crime and the improvement of compliance management and internal control systems.

We are looking for:

  • You are currently studying at a university, ideally with a focus on computer science, cyber security or business informatics in the second or last year of your studies.
  • Ideally, first points of contact with cyber security projects in a consultancy or a company, also in the form of internships.
  • Very good analytical thinking, a pronounced willingness to perform, initiative and a high level of teamwork.
  • Good IT user skills (especially MS Excel & PowerPoint) as well as very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken. Another foreign language is not absolutely necessary, but it is helpful.
  • Good skills in presenting results, as well as a high degree of independence, commitment and analytical thinking.
