Business Area

Securities Services is a leading global custodian and securities services specialist that provides multi-asset post-trade and asset servicing solutions for buy and sell-side market participants, corporates and issuers.

Loan Solutions provides debt solution services across a variety of products in the Private Capital domain, focusing primarily on Loan Administration (Loan Funds) and Collateral Administration (Levered Loan Funds). We provide a premier account administration service for loan portfolios across a number of global clients.

The Role

The position is Loan Solutions Trainee within a team based in Glasgow. The first objective of the role is to learn, understand and develop key skills required to support Loan Solutions activities. Once training has been provided and key skills have been learned, there will be potential for the Trainee to provide practical support and assistance across many Loan Solutions tasks including:

  • Support the continuous improvement project within Loan Solutions as we look to further embed efficiency and scalability on our local processes and in conjunction with our PCCE Partners in Portugal

  • Learn the fundamentals of the Loan Solutions UK operating model and a background in Loan Asset servicing.

  • Assist with the Loan Solutions UK service provided to clients, providing oversight of Loan Solutions PCCE Portugal’s service delivery by supporting Analysts, Associates and AVPs in the provision of Loan Administration, change and client facing support locally.

What you’ll do

  • Perform analysis and gather supporting data to help inform senior members of the team where time should be invested

  • Become familiar with the underlying processes to be able to add value and input into the assessment process

  • Support senior team members by collating data for KPI (Key Performance Indicators) to measure the Loan Administration service being provided

  • Assist team members with the completion of oversight tasks on the Loan Solutions UK service delivery

  • Liaise with internal and external key stakeholders on the Loan Solutions UK service delivery to gain a holistic understanding of the product and service provided

  • Escalate more complex and technical issues to more senior colleagues for resolution and advice in a timely manner, to ensure clients receive the appropriate level of support and service.

  • Be accountable for delivering personal targets and objectives to support the performance of the team under general guidance from more experienced colleagues

  • Actively seek opportunities to develop knowledge of the BNPP organisation both within the UK and more widely

  • Adhere to bank policies and compliance requirements
