What you’ll need

To join our industrial placement scheme, you’ll need to be studying at a UK university on a bachelor’s degree or integrated masters that includes a credit-bearing placement year—meaning you’re currently in the penultimate year of your course.

While we value great academic performance, we don’t set minimum grade requirements—we’re more interested in your potential, mindset, and motivation.

Your Development Path

Once you’ve completed your initial training, you’ll be ready to take on your first role. Project placements vary based on business needs, and we encourage interns to explore a wide range of opportunities to discover what excites them most. Typical roles on this programme may include:

  • Process and Operating Model Design

  • Change & Communications

  • Data & Financial Modelling

  • Research & Insights

Throughout your placement, you’ll be supported with ongoing training, coaching, and guidance to help you grow your skills and shape your career. You’ll have the opportunity to work on a mix of projects—each offering a chance to apply your university learning, explore different areas of consulting, and discover where your strengths and passions lie.

By the end of the scheme, you’ll walk away with valuable experience, in-demand skills—and hopefully, an offer to join us when you graduate.

To bring this to life, here are a few examples from previous Consulting 12 Month Interns, who rejoined Accenture as Graduates:

  • Freya successfully completed her placement in 2022, secured a graduate offer, and returned in 2024 on our Consulting graduate programme. She now leads the design of an intelligent, data-driven support service for a major government client—enhancing how citizens interact with public services and improving customer experience across the sector.

  • Josh completed his placement in 2023. After securing a graduate offer, he returned in 2025 on our Consulting graduate programme and currently works as a Business Analyst, delivering AI-powered solutions for a major telecommunications client. His work is reshaping operational efficiency and setting new standards for innovation.

Where you’ll work

At Accenture, we value collaboration and connection. You’ll be expected to work from your assigned UK office at least three days per week, so you must live within commuting distance. Depending on project needs, you may also spend time at client sites across the UK—sometimes more than three days a week.

Key Dates

The start date for the programme is September 2026. Places are offered on a first come first served basis, we encourage you to apply early. The application deadline is 30th November 2025; however, we reserve the right to close earlier depending on demand.

Visas

Unfortunately, immigration minimum salary requirements set by the UK authorities (UKVI) mean that Accenture is not able to sponsor this position and you must have the right to work in the UK by the start of your employment.

  • Interviews typically include:

    • One interview with a recruiter

    • A final interview with a manager from the business.
