We are looking for an enthusiastic Health, Safety, and Environment Placement Student to join our team specializing in Environment for our Power Systems Business Segment in UK, Daventry. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!

This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence Summer of 2026. This role will largely be onsite for the best experience so you must be able to travel to the location although some hybrid working can be considered if required.

External Qualifications and Competencies

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Providing first line support for the site’s HSE team – this includes leading and/or supporting any HSE projects across the site.

  • Assist in maintaining the site’s ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 standards, including supported exposure to internal and external auditing events.

  • Maintain and control documentation related to the standards.

  • Analyse the site’s HSE data and support day-to-day administration.

  • Understand business changes and support continuous improvement.

  • Communicate the site’s HSE performance to all levels of the organization and provide training where possible.

Additional Responsibilities Unique to this Position

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Working towards a degree, with special interest in HSE studies and policy.

  • Have an interest in HSE issues and be able to link them to the business environment; previous experience within a manufacturing or commercial environment would be an advantage; particularly within a customer facing/support environment.

  • Excellent IT ability, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills with the ability to work well within a team and use own initiative.

  • Ambition, adaptability, and confidence coupled with creativity, imagination, a desire to learn, and a willingness to take on responsibility.
