What we're looking for
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and delivering finance-related projects from start to finish, ensuring they meet business objectives, are completed on time, and stay within budget. You will be working closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and project success. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with some project management experience in the finance industry to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Execution: Take ownership of project timelines, budgets, and scope, ensuring all deliverables are achieved in accordance with business objectives.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications, ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
- Resource Management: Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure resources are appropriately allocated, managing any challenges that may arise during the project execution.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify risks and issues, implementing solutions to mitigate potential delays or budget overruns, ensuring minimal impact to the project.
- Project Reporting: Track project progress against key milestones, providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on the status of projects.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive efficiencies and improvements in project management practices, sharing insights and recommending improvements to enhance project outcomes.
Requirements:
- Some experience as a Project Manager, or in a similar role, within the Finance sector.
- A Finance-related degree or relevant commercial experience within the finance industry.
- Great understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Solid experience in managing project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure project success.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to change and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
