Responsibilities

As an AMD intern, you’ll be placed at the epicenter of the AI ecosystem, working alongside experts and industry pioneers. You’ll do important work, learn new skills, expand your network, and gain real-world experience on projects that impact millions of end-users worldwide. Job Details:

  • Location: Edinburgh, UK

  • Hybrid: This role requires the student to work full time either in a hybrid or onsite throughout the duration of the intern term.

  • Start date: June 1, 2026

  • Vacancies - Multiple

What You Will Be Doing:

You are currently enrolled in a UK based University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.

  • If you have knowledge / experience with any of the following technical skills (or related areas) and are enthusiastic about this role, we highly encourage you to apply

    • Experience/Knowledge of Digital Signal Processing Algorithms and Advanced Communications Standards.

    • Digital logic design, RTL coding and verification.

    • High-level language programming and scripting (Python, Java, C, etc.) or HDL (Verilog)

    • Familiarity with Xilinx Vivado and SDK as well as 3rd party logic simulator

    • Familiarity with RTL (Register Transfer Level) Development VHDL or Verilog

    • Familiarity with digital circuit design and testing using simulation tools

    • Familiarity with AMD-Xilinx FPGAs and system design tools
