Summer Internship Program – Charles River Development – Marketing Intern

Charles River’s Marketing team holds a pivotal role – bringing a 'One State Street' approach to clients, partners, and prospects, to better drive impact. We work to strengthen our brand and build awareness across target audiences and lead the development of the marketing strategy focused on supporting our sales organization, positioning State Street and Charles River ('CRD') as a leader in the industry.
About the internship program:
Our Summer Intern Program is designed for high potential students, like you, into our most impactful roles preparing you for future success. From day one you will be exploring a collaborative and dynamic environment company culture and you will receive:
- A structured learning and development program, specific job-related trainings, professional development, and soft skills trainings
- A buddy who can offer you their experience, knowledge, and guidance throughout your internship
- Dedicated networking events for the Interns
- Leadership and business-related sessions with Senior Management
- Possibility to grow your professional network by joining an Employee Committees include: Professional PWN, Families Network, Disability & Inclusion Network, Pride & Friends Network, Environmental Sustainability Network
Program dates: 22 June 2026 – 28 August 2026
You must be available to participate in the program in person in UK, starting from day one and for its full duration. You are required to work from the office 4 days a week.
What You Will Do:
- Providing day-to-day support to the CRD Marketing team
- Interacting with management locally
- Managing campaigns and contact information in our CRM
- Collaborating with other teams within CRD in EMEA, APAC, and North America
- The role will entail some project management and coordination across multiple teams within Charles River
Who We Are Looking For:
- We are looking for a dynamic, engaging, and enthusiastic individual who wishes to gain experience within a marketing team in a financial services or software company.
- The role will have exposure to event marketing tactics (virtual and in-person events, campaigns, analytics, and thought leadership, etc.) but will also allow for exposure to Sales, Relation Management, Operations, and Product Management internally.
Education And Preferred Qualifications:
- Undergraduate students pursuing degrees in Business, Economics, Finance, or a Marketing related field
Core Competencies:
Skills And Experience:
- Attention to detail
- Interest in developing experience in this space
- Confident self-starter who can work under pressure, using their own initiative and with the drive to work to deadlines and to see tasks through to completion
- Ability to navigate multiple stakeholders across different levels of seniority
- Ability to anticipate challenges and opportunities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (inc. Excel and PowerPoint)
Required Competencies:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to bring new ideas and ways of working to the team
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage own time
- Professional and collaborative individual
