Who we are:

We’ve been helping clients plan and save for their futures for over 50 years. From more than 25 locations around the world, we provide investment services and retirement expertise to everyone from central banks to private individuals.

As part of our commitment to making things better, we’re continually exploring technology and different ways of working to put our clients first. Digital here isn’t just changing how we provide services – it’s changing everything.

The Programme you’ll join:

We don’t expect you to come straight in and know everything about what we do.

As a Technology Graduate, and whatever you’re studying, we’ll help make sure you get the most out of your time with us. Fidelity is a fantastic place to learn, innovate and grow. There are expert colleagues around the world to learn from and share ideas with.

Our expert Technology team empower our people and support our progress all around the world. They develop the applications and infrastructure that underpin everything from trading and operations to compliance and customer service. And they’re always searching for new and better ideas.

During the Graduate programme you will join our Data Platform Analytics team, part of the wider Data Platform function, where we manage and support the analytics platforms used by thousands of employees across the company. As a graduate, you’ll be immersed in a progressive team that owns the platforms end-to-end—from ensuring security and resilience to driving innovation and transformation.

You’ll be working at the heart of digital transformation, helping to migrate workloads to the cloud, drive platform improvements, and enhance user experience. This is a hands-on role where you’ll learn from experienced professionals, contribute to meaningful projects, and grow your technical and professional skills.

The difference you’ll make:

You’ll contribute to positive, impactful work that makes a difference to our clients and employees. You’ll provide invaluable support to your team, too. This will include:

  • Ensuring our analytics services remain secure, resilient, and performant.

  • Supporting service recovery during outages and disruptions to safeguard key business processes and insights.

  • Developing creative solutions to improve platform efficiency and deliver business value.

  • Contributing to platform engineering initiatives.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and enhancements.

We’re looking for curious, motivated graduates who are eager to learn and grow. You don’t need to know the below on day one—we’ll support your development—but familiarity or interest in the following technical areas will help you thrive:

  • Version control & automation: GitHub, CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins).

  • Programming & scripting: Python, Bash, SQL.

  • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform or similar tools.

  • Analytics platforms: Oracle Analytics Server, Power BI, Denodo.

  • Core infrastructure concepts: systems administration, networking, storage, and security.

  • Cloud platforms: Exposure to Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and AWS.

How you’ll be supported:

You’ll start with a welcome and an orientation, where you’ll meet your fellow Graduates and find out all about us and our work. After that, there are many more ways to develop your skills as your placement progresses including completing of Unit 1 of the Investment Operations Certificate (IOC).

Once the programme begins, you’ll learn every day – from the experts around you and through tackling real projects. Our focus will be on supporting you to gain experience and discover what kind of future you could build in our industry.

Support is part of our culture, so you’ll have a buddy and a mentor to help you whenever you need. And you’ll join a close-knit early careers community, with plenty of social and networking events to help you find your feet and feel at home.

What we look for:

It’s who you are that matters here, rather than what you studied.

We look for Graduates who are analytical, eager to learn and ready to take on a challenge. A genuine curiosity and eagerness to learn about technology is vital, as is a great interest in our work and our industry. Creative thinking and the ability to build and develop relationships with colleagues is important to.

We welcome applications from students from ALL degree backgrounds; you do not need a technology related degree. If you’re inquisitive and ambitious, a placement at Fidelity is a great opportunity to discover whether this kind of work is for you.

And, as we’re an international organisation, we’ll need you to speak English.

We’ll also need you to:

  • Be graduating in 2026 (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree)

  • Successful candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK from the start date.
