What we are looking for

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Technology team for one year.  

The Team

Join our internal Technology team and help build the proprietary platform that drives our asset management operations. You'll work directly on our proprietary system that traders, portfolio managers, and analysts rely on every day.

Programme information

You will join as part of the Investment20/20 programme and you will have opportunities to meet and network with over 300 trainees across the industry and participate in socials and insight events. 

This is a fixed term role for one year with a salary of £25,500. There will be commercially relevant training and continuous support throughout your entire time with us, including continued professional development. You will receive 25 days annual leave. This role is based in London. 

Responsibilities 

Training will be given according to your current skill level. These are some of the activities you will be involved in: 

  • Write and test code for our investment management systems
  • Debug production issues alongside experienced developers
  • Participate in design discussions for new features
  • Interface with front office teams to understand their workflow and requirements

Technical environment: Java distributed platform, Python and Matlab. Running in AWS via DevOps practices.

Skills and requirements

  • Computer Science or related undergraduate degree (any year)
  • Solid programming fundamentals in at least one language
  • Genuine interest in financial markets (no prior experience required)
  • Good problem-solving instinct and willingness to dig into complex systems
