What support have you received from managers or mentors? 

Throughout my time at SG, I have benefited from the support of exceptional managers and mentors. What has stood out most is the genuine commitment people have shown to my development, particularly during my transition from Global Markets to Global Banking & Advisory. The culture at SG is one where colleagues are approachable, willing to share their knowledge, and encourage curiosity. This environment has empowered me to remain curious, challenge myself, and continue developing both professionally and personally.

What would you tell your university self before joining? 

If I could give advice to my university self, it would be to be less tunnel visioned. I used to think that your first role would define your entire career, but my experience at SG has shown me that careers are rarely linear. I started in the bank's Investor Coverage Group, gaining exposure to its hedge fund clients and cross-selling efforts across market products, before transitioning into Global Banking & Advisory through the Graduate Programme. Rotations in Non-Flow Real Asset Syndicate and Development & Structured Export Finance have given me a broader understanding of the banking value chain, from deal origination through to execution and distribution. For me, that's the real strength of the Graduate Programme: the opportunity to explore different areas of the business, develop a diverse skill set, and build the adaptability needed to thrive in your career.
