I couldn’t see myself going to university full time, I wanted to learn on the job as this has always been my preferred learning style. It was a big decision given all my friends went to university, but I knew it was best for me. I knew was never going to thrive through classroom-based learning alone, Capgemini gave me the opportunity to obtain a degree whilst getting the real time work experience.

This role has allowed me to gain more experience and understanding that a non-early careers role in UX. This is because I was given the support to shadow, work under and eventually own my own work, with the support of Capgemini. For example, I have had the chance to be a user researcher, content designer and interaction designer – most people in UX stick to one role but we are exposed to all 3 roles which gives us a unique edge in our field. This gives me a great platform to grow and excel in my professional career.

Meet Nikhita - Consultant
My favourite Capgemini value is ‘Team Spirit’.’ This accurately captures how team members, including myself act in their project teams at Capgemini. Work is shared fairly; team members listen to each other and ensure work is delivered in a timely manner. As a graduate working in a team, I have been challenging myself by taking on different responsibilities, this has come from supportive members of my team who can see my potential and push me to go beyond my comfort zone. When there is a potential solution to discuss, all views are heard, and I am able to contribute my views without judgement.

Meet Ffion - Business Analyst
I have never worked in a company where fun is prioritised in this way. It ensures that everyone enjoys what they do and though the work we do is taken seriously, we have a good time while doing it. This value means that there is a laid-back atmosphere where I feel comfortable to express who I am and approach my colleagues when I need a chat. This attitude makes me feel human in a company and not just a cog in a machine.
