Our scheme is a strategic investment focused on attracting, developing, and retaining outstanding graduates to create smarter, safer, and more sustainable environments. Inclusion and diversity are at our core, driving innovation and improved outcomes.

What Makes Our Programme Unique

  • Inclusive Culture & Diverse Talent Pipeline: We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, with recruitment and development processes designed to remove barriers and ensure equal opportunities, especially for women and underrepresented groups.
  • Supportive Community: Benefit from dedicated line management, structured mentoring, and a collaborative graduate network that values wellbeing and personal growth.
  • Rotational Structure: Graduates tailor their own rotations within the Projects division, choosing placements aligned with their interests and career goals, ensuring ownership of their development journey and maximising growth and impact.
  • Work on actual projects with various clients from the beginning, gaining practical experience and building professional skills. Participants work towards permanent role placement, allowing them to contribute throughout the program and prepare for a permanent position at Mitie.
    Programme Format
  • Rotational Structure: The two-year scheme comprises four six-month placements across various business units, including roles in project management, design, build, operations, consultancy, commerciality, tendering, and sustainability. Each rotation comes with dedicated line manager support. Some placements may require relocation to different sites, enhancing your exposure and professional network.
  • Learning & Development: The scheme combines technical training, professional workshops, and behavioural development mapped to Engineering Council UK competencies. Training covers areas such as BIM, Drones, CDM, EDI allyship, AI & Co-pilot, and personal brand development, ensuring graduates emerge as well-rounded professionals.
