Meet Abbi, an Account Manager

The one thing I was sure about was that I wanted to avoid lab work at all costs as this was an aspect of the course that I really didn’t enjoy. I came across TPP as it was listed as one of the top graduate employers and I was lucky enough to be offered a job prior to completing my final year which took a lot of stress away around exam time. The company was exactly what I was looking for as I’ve always had an interest in healthcare, especially given my degree, I just didn’t know how my career would tie into it.

Within my role as an Account Manager I am responsible for developing and maintaining strategic relationships with customers all around the world; from the north of England to countries in Southeast Asia. Going to new places and meeting new people plays a massive part in this and I’ve found that this has allowed my confidence to increase a considerable amount. I feel that I’m constantly kept on my toes as there are always new challenges to face and different projects to get stuck in with. Some of the recent projects I’ve been working on have involved meetings with international health ministers, presenting to governors from China and travelling to Bali for a digital healthcare event.

Overall, I was keen to take on a role that was varied and challenging with plenty of opportunities for international travel all whilst allowing me to develop my professional skillset. Since starting in 2021, I can happily say that the job has surpassed my expectations in all these areas.
