What inspired you to pursue the Graduate Scheme at Mitie?

I wanted a role that would give me the opportunity to try different things, build my skills, and figure out where my passion lies without committing to one job role straight away. Mitie’s graduate scheme stood out to me as it offered so many opportunities to rotate through different roles, work with a variety of teams, and gain real industry experience across the various fields I had considered pursuing as a career. The flexibility of moving between teams and projects, combined with a focus on training and development, made it a fantastic choice for starting my career.

How has the Graduate Scheme helped you grow personally and professionally over the last 3 months?

My first rotation has been with JCA, and it’s been a great experience. The team has been so welcoming and supportive, and I’ve already learned so much. Over the last three months, I’ve grown in confidence in both myself and my abilities in the workplace. I’ve also had the chance to explore different interests, from the technical side of engineering to contributing to various company initiatives. As I’ve been enjoying my job, it has positively impacted how I approach my work and day-to-day activities—it’s been a brilliant start!

Advice for others considering a Graduate Scheme

Go for it! It’s a great way to start your career, with so much opportunity to grow and develop both personally and professionally. Mitie’s scheme, especially with its variety of rotations, is ideal if you’re still figuring out exactly where your interests lie. My time at JCA has shown me how much you can gain from being part of a supportive and inspiring team. It’s a wonderful way to learn, challenge yourself, and build a solid foundation for your future career.
