Harkiran Johal - Intern Profile

Hi, I’m Harkiran. I’m currently a student at The University of Birmingham, studying Biomedical Science.

During the second year of my degree, I began to apply for internships to gain further insights into the pharmaceutical industry. After successfully securing the role of the Global Market Access intern, I started my internship in June 2024. Since then, I have worked collaboratively with my team, with the other interns, and independently in projects. During the first 4 months of my internship, I have been immersed in various projects including: co-leading group meetings, working on product dashboards, presenting on topics within the evolving market access landscape, assisting in the preparation of advisory boards, and assessing analytical tools. 

One of my favourite things about working at Otsuka is that I am constantly learning whether it be about specific market access processes or about Otsuka products. The environment at Otsuka is friendly, collaborative, and promotes the development of its employees.
