Product Manager Intern

Roku UK Ltd

Why did you choose Roku?

I wanted a PM internship where I could own real work, not just shadow. Roku offered exactly that: the chance to shape product strategy for a platform reaching 120M+ daily viewers, while working closely with engineering, design, and research teams. The scale of impact, combined with genuine ownership, was what drew me in.

What did your role include?

My role involved developing a motion and animation strategy for the Home Screen. I partnered with UX research to run eye-tracking studies, presented roadmaps to senior stakeholders, and conducted competitive analysis that shaped our motion strategy. Every week felt different, which kept things exciting.

A project you enjoyed

Contributing to the eye-tracking research with the UX team was a highlight. Translating those insights into product decisions that would reach millions of users made the work feel genuinely meaningful.

What makes Roku a great place to work?

People trust you with real responsibility from day one. I never felt like "just an intern." My ideas were heard, challenged, and A/B tested. The team culture is collaborative without being slow, and you get exposure to how product decisions are made at scale.
