Beth Woodley

Graduate RF Engineer

Arqiva

Why did you apply for Arqiva?

When preparing for leaving university I knew I wanted to work for a company making a positive difference to everyday life and I felt that Arqiva does that through the supportive working atmosphere and providing a larger amount of the UK's broadcast network. I also wanted to work for a company involved in innovation which is constantly developing at Arqiva across the broadcast and utilities sectors.

Describe your role

I work in RF engineering so focus on the design and specification of new or upgraded RF equipment. My team is diverse and there is a wide variety of other skills I use including various calculations, link budget analysis and providing technical support. I am also able to collaborate with both team members and teams across the company meaning I am always expanding my knowledge.

Any advice to potential applicants?

I think it's important to maintain a sense of self and display your personality as a whole - it helps with finding a role that suits you. Be curious too! Don't be afraid to ask questions as it allows you to continue to learn and develop your understanding of the role.
