Over the course of my grad scheme, I worked in three very different areas of the bank: Group Internal Audit, Business Banking, and Group Transformation. It suited me perfectly because I’m interested in getting involved in many different things. And the bonus was that no two days were ever the same. In Group Transformation, you’re at the heart of change, and you constantly feel things are moving both slow and fast. You’ve got to be ready to go, but patient for results. I feel my role is very close to the Group’s strategy and digital transformation. And I like that. Throughout my whole graduate scheme, I received great support from senior leaders and managers – from mentoring opportunities to advice when it came to solving complex problems or increasing my networks. Everyone wants to help you make an impact.
