Meet Ross - Summer Internship

I studied Physics at the University of Warwick and found that I enjoyed programming much more than research. I was part of TPP’s first software developer internship program in my penultimate year, where I was supported by experienced team members and taught in a hands-on and personalised way while developing an iOS app, including both frontend UI work and backend API changes. I moved on to the full-time software developer position right after I graduated.

One of the big advantages of working at TPP is that you don’t get pigeonholed into one specific type of development. In the ten years I’ve been at the company I’ve worked on further iOS and Android app development, but also an incredibly wide range of other things, from backend server performance improvements, to testing insurance system integrations in China, to bespoke machine learning model development for early diagnosis of cancers.

All of the software that we create here at TPP makes a genuine positive difference to healthcare, across the UK and internationally. This includes our patient-facing apps and websites, as well as our clinician-focused efforts that reduce human errors and improve the quality and efficiency of care in a multitude of healthcare settings.
