The Guardian UK 300: top IT and technology employers

…as voted for by students and graduates

The Guardian UK 300 is the largest and most comprehensive annual survey of student opinion on graduate careers and employers. The survey determines not only the most popular 300 graduate employers in the UK overall, but also the most popular graduate employers in a range of career sectors, including media and advertising.

The top graduate employers for IT and technology are listed in the table below. The top three employers remain the same as last year: Google, Apple and Microsoft. Facebook has dropped one place to fifth, and now in fourth place in is new entrant, Rockstar Games.

Students interested in IT and technology...

  • more often studied creative arts and design or media than mathematical science/statistics, although computer science and IT was still the most popular degree
  • expected to earn around £26,000
  • were almost as likely to have completed related work experience as not, with 51% having relevant experience*.
