The Guardian UK 300: top logistics, transport and supply chain employers

…as voted for by students and graduates

The Guardian UK 300 features the largest and most comprehensive annual survey of student opinion on graduate careers, employers and their own job hunts. The survey determines not only the most popular 300 graduate employers in the UK overall, but also the most popular graduate employers in a range of career sectors, including logistics.

The top graduate employers for logistics, transport and supply chain careers are listed in the table below. Notably, there has been no movement in the table, with all employers retaining the same position as they did last year.

Students interested in logistics, transport and supply chain careers…

  • were most likely to study sociology (35%), languages, literature and classics (25%), business/management (22%) and psychology (18%)
  • would take into account a company’s reputation when considering careers, as 100 per cent of students actively disagreed with the statement ‘If the salary was right, I would work for a company with a bad image’
  • were likely to want to interact with recruiters face to face, as meeting employers via stands at careers fairs (82%), via off-campus careers events (75%) and via employer presentations (75%) were the most popular methods of engaging with employers.*

*Statistics have been rounded.

Over 62,000 undergraduates took part in the trendence Graduate Study 2017, which formed the basis of the results in The Guardian UK 300.
