Meet Will an Engineering Year in Industry student

I initially become drawn to AWE through their opportunities of personal development and the opportunity to learn from industry leading experts. Since starting work at AWE, I’ve been blown away by the positive working culture, the flexibility to discover your area of interest and delve into the detail of that interest. It feels like every colleague here is actively looking to prop you up in your career and life, helping you develop both as a person and as a professional!

My placement is based both in Simulation Modelling and Manufacturing Engineering. I became interested very early on by the vast opportunities for personal development the company offers, from personal life development such as the opportunities to learn sign language or detailed career development such as modelling complex systems.
