Q: What made you decide to apply to Together?

A: Together’s culture felt unique to me, a blend of formal corporate structure with a genuinely friendly, familiar atmosphere. The company’s values truly reflect how it operates, especially in encouraging an entrepreneurial approach to development. As this was my first role, I wanted both the structured support and the freedom to carve my own path. Together’s Academy offered the perfect balance of both.

Q: Tell us about your career journey, what role did you start doing and how did you get to where you are now?

A: I joined the graduate scheme as a Graduate Business Designer in the change function of GTS. This was a great starting position that allowed me to work with a wide range of departments within the business and build my understanding of what Together does and how value is provided to customers. Working within GTS also gave me visibility of the different roles across Change and Delivery, and I quickly realised I wanted to be even more involved. I was looking for more technical experience while still being closely connected to the business, which made the Architecture and Design team the perfect middle ground. Since then, I've progressed to Systems Analyst, and now Business Analyst- working closely with the delivery teams to provide valuable business solutions through our systems.

Q: How has being part of the Together Academy accelerated your development?

A:  The support you receive from the academy is second to none; they're not just a front of friendly faces you see during the recruitment stage- they continuously champion you and support you right the way through. They're all well versed in onboarding, so they're prepared to answer every question under the sun (and I had a lot!). The academy is well supported by the C-suite too, so having exposure to the most senior people in the business from day 1 makes settling in so much easier.

Q: What is your biggest achievement so far?

A: My biggest achievement so far has to be co‑founding the Women in Tech network at Together. The initiative began almost two years ago, after my manager at the time and I attended a Women in Tech networking event in central Manchester and we never looked back! Since then, the network has developed and created countless opportunities for colleagues to connect, learn, and grow. We have hosted and attended several events that have raised the profile of the incredible women within our department, all while continuing to champion DEI initiatives across the business.

Q: What would your advice be to someone looking to apply to join the Together Academy?

A: The Together academy is one of the best because they understand the emotional side of getting a graduate role; they understand that it can be a stressful and sometimes nerve-wracking. If you have grit, curiosity, and the determination to get involved, you’ll thrive. The assessment centres are designed not just to evaluate you but to give you the space to show who you are. Take your time, breathe, and trust yourself!
