The Guardian UK 300: top investment banking and investment employers

…as voted for by students and graduates

The Guardian UK 300 is the largest and most comprehensive annual survey of student opinion on graduate careers and employers. The survey determines not only the most popular 300 graduate employers in the UK overall, but also the most popular graduate employers in a range of career sectors, including media and advertising.

The top graduate employers for investment banking and investment are listed in the table below. The top seven employers remain the same: J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Barclays, Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and BlackRock. The only companies to have moved are Credit Suisse and Citi, which have swapped positions, to eighth and ninth, respectively.

Students interested in investment banking and investment:

  • most commonly studied business/management, economics or mathematical science/statistics
  • expected an average salary of £32, 462
  • had done related work experience in 52% of cases.*
